Well the Christmas season is upon us and we are having lots of fun preparing for Jesus' birthday! We are really trying to instill the TRUE meaning of Christmas with Matthew this year! We have an Advent wreath with candles and Matthew loves to light the candles each night at dinner time and say an Advent prayer with me or
MeeMee! He will quickly remind us if we forget to light the candles! When he does a good deed or listens to us, he gets to put hay in the manger (part of the nativity scene) in preparation for Christmas morning when Jesus will appear. My mom has the Advent calendar up from when I was a kid. Matthew loves using it to count down the days the Christmas! We also feel so lucky that Matthew attends our church's preschool and gets to learn about Christmas there too!! He had his preschool program on Friday and did such a good job! He was so proud! Matthew and I decorated a gingerbread house.. this is the finished product. That kiss was completely unsolicited! he did it all on his own!
